The cover of Kipli's natural duvet is made entirely of organic cotton. This natural material is very gentle on the skin. Coupled with this, the organic cotton we use doesn't contain any type of chemical products and hasn't been bleached so we are confident of supplying a product that's healthy and natural against your skin. Our Oeko-tex certification attests to the fact that Kipli's duvet covers are free of any endocrine disruptors and doesn't release any kind of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). This is also the best possible duvet thanks to its eco-friendly appearance. By using organic cotton, we're offering a sustainable material which requires little water in order to grow. We also help to maintain the soil's natural balance by avoiding the use of fertilizers or pesticides. .
Lyocell filling
In order to create the best possible duvet, we've decided to only use plant based materials. Unfortunately, today's duvets are frequently made from animal or petrochemical by-products. Hence our choice of Lyocell for the duvet's filling. Lyocell, also known as cellulose, is a fibre derived from wood pulp. This breathable material ensures excellent air circulation which helps to prevent night sweats. It is also recognised for its thermoregulatory properties. Due to the absence of any chemicals or synthetic fibres (such as polyester) which can be damaging to your health, cellulose fibre is a natural and healthy product. In addition to the above, Kipli's aim is always to support conscientious and responsible purchasing. The Lyocell (Tencel) used is sourced from sustainably managed forests.
Thanks to the use of natural materials such as organic cotton and Lyocell, our natural duvet is the best choice for people who are sensitive or allergic to mites. The breathable properties of these materials help to prevent the development of bacteria and / or mites.
How to clean the Kipli duvet?
In order to maximise the life of your Kipli duvet, it is important to take good care of it. You can wash your duvet in the washing machine at 30°C on the woollen or "delicates" cycle. We also recommend that you use a detergent that's specifically for delicate fabrics. With regard to drying, you can put your duvet in the dryer but you should pay attention to the setting. In order not to damage the Kipli duvet, you should dry it on a medium cycle with a maximum temperature of 60°C. Further advice is: it is important not to iron the duvet and not to use any bleaching products such as chlorine, for example. If' you'd prefer to leave it to the professionals, you can always take your duvet to the dry-cleaners.
We've decided to offer 4 sizes of this duvet which correspond to standard French measurements. The smallest duvet, 140x200 is designed for a single bed. The other options should be chosen based on the size of your double bed, your individual requirements and your particular preferences. In general, we recommend that you purchase a duvet that's slightly larger than the actual bed for greater comfort (50 to 60 cm larger than the width of your bed).
