Unfortunately, most of the furniture that's available on the market today is made from reconstituted wood or plywood. Often imported from other continents, this type of product has a significant environmental impact and releases VOCs as well as other substances that are potentially harmful to human health.
At Kipli, we don't use any chemical products in the design of our bedroom furniture and therefore, are able to offer our customers VOC-free products which will help to keep your home uncontaminated.
In order to create responsibly produced items, we only use solid wood to make our furniture. The wood we use comes from PEFC-certified forests which are managed in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. As our production workshops are located less than 100 km from these forests, we reduce transportation and are able to boost local employment.
The solid beech wood that's used to make our furniture is recognized for its quality and durability. Using this natural wood enables us to create furniture that will withstand the test of time. This also results in a less frequent need to substitute your furniture and therefore, leads to more responsible consumerism.

At Kipli we've chosen to leave plastic behind us and we've said "No" to synthetic materials and chemical treatments in order to offer our customers healthy products as would have been the case in the past: designed to last, made from healthy and natural materials at a reasonable price.
The material used in our bedroom furniture - solid wood
Using solid wood enables us to avoid the use of melamine which is made up from wood residues coupled with chemical glues, both of which are present in most of the furniture that is currently sold in France. It guarantees the absence of any endocrine disruptors and VOCs, as well as harmful agents such as urea-formaldehyde or phenol-formaldehyde. The solid beech wood which is carefully selected for making our furniture, comes from local sources in Normandy and Picardy.
The paints and varnishes used on wooden furniture have been shown to be amongst the leading causes of interior pollution. We have chosen to use a vegetable based varnish to enhance the natural colour of the beech wood and a natural oil which gives the wood a slightly darker colour. This has been done in order to avoid the use of chemical paints or varnishes and to offer two different shades, both of which will respect the level of air cleanliness in your home.
An elegant and functional design
The drawers in our solid wood chest of drawers and our bedside tables are easy to open without the need for external handles. These both provide optimal storage space. The stoppers ensure ease of access in everyday use.
The solid beech panels from which our wooden furniture is made give these pieces of furniture an authentic, elegant and minimalist look.
